BLEND Exclusive House Roast

12 years ago BLEND partnered with global luxury coffee supplier, Hubbard & Craven Coffee Company. We collaborated on a new roasting style we call "Maduro Roast".

Using rare African Arabica beans, we slowed the roasting process, keeping the rich, flavorful oils inside the bean. Only a Probat Roaster can achieve this level of roasting performance. We controlled flow of hot air, thru the solid steel drum, roasting the beans via convection with minimum drum contact. The result is our Maduro profile for full aroma and flavor development. Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee typically has a bright, floral taste with prominent citrus notes, often described as having a clean, vibrant acidity, with hints of berries, wine, and sometimes even a subtle sweetness it's considered a light-bodied coffee with a complex flavor profile due to its high elevation growing conditions.
